Monitoring of HVAC systems and energy savings
Indoor air quality (IAQ) is now a recognized public health issue. Monitoring this quality has become mandatory for a growing number of facilities. Associated with the thermal comfort of buildings, it requires numerous sensors to be implemented and monitored.
Thanks to its innovative technology, Enerbee offers the possibility to build high-performance autonomous sensors and products for ventilation and indoor air quality monitoring. Wireless, these communicating sensors generate enriched data that is particularly used for monitoring HVAC systems.
Battery less, Enerbee generators are completely energy self-sufficient, meeting energy reduction guidelines.
Smart HVAC systems
Enerbee generators can provide a significant amount of energy (in the 1-10 mW range), even from small air flows representative of residential installations.
The energy produced can be used to monitor indoor air quality (RH, T°, CO2, VOC,…) or occupancy levels in each room (based on CO2 measurement). This data can then be used to adjust the air flow or room temperature accordingly.
Enerbee’s unique micro-generator technology adds intelligence to HVAC systems and ensures a healthy and comfortable environment to live in.
FAQ HVAC Smart Ventilation
- Why using an energy autonomous system?
Battery based system show in many use cases a very short lifetime leading to ventilation system not working properly. Wired solution require long distance of cable, a significant installation cost and results usually in generating energy loss. It is even sometimes almost impossible to install wired system, especially on the retrofit market.
An energy autonomous solution is easy to install, plug and play and maintenance-free.
- Why using a “smart” ventilation ?
In the context where energy efficiency and indoor air quality are getting more traction and more regulated, proof of efficiency is mandatory.
Too many systems are effective on paper but harmful and “dangerous” once installed. Installing a smart sensor solution to sense, communicate and adjust the air flow will ensure to run the HVAC system at the best efficiency and a good quality of living.
- Why make ventilation system communicating ?
Today, it is essential to enhance the indoor air quality of our buildings. A high-performance and healthy building ensures an incomparable quality of life for its occupants. The more the maintenance of the systems is anticipated, the more the building maintenance cost will decrease.
